Artist's Statement

Laurie Szilvagyi: Vonore, Tennessee, United States; I find intrigue and beauty in anything that has age and character. I enjoy searching for these unusual objects which are often the subject-matter for my artwork. I enjoy creating free and passionate pencil drawings which stimulates my creative expression while giving me time to internalize the details needed for a good composition. This site will consist mainly of my small weekly oil paintings, however, larger paintings may be commissioned.

If you see a painting you like, it may be purchased by sending me an email (featherstone01@tds.net) indicating your interest. The price of unframed art includes UPS shipping and handling in the United States. Please allow 2-3 weeks drying time for the most recent work. All work is shipped unframed unless otherwise noted.
